"A Matter of Issue' is a contemporary family drama dealing with the issues [pun intended!] and challenges of our modern era.  Get to know Michael as he searches for his biological father; share the regenerating energy of a sunset romance as Charles and Mary kindle a loving relationship; sympathize with Bill as he navigates the mine field of his brother Kirk's explosive temper; and question Kirk's motives as he gets more and more involved with his aging father's affairs - both romantic and otherwise!  'A Matter of Issue' received a five star review from Reader's Favorites ... With a number of clever little side plots, Haynes has done a wonderful job of wrapping her story around some very big and very underrated societal issues that affect our ever-aging population.  With Haynes not afraid to be ruthless in her arcs, I found the book to be an excellent family drama that highlighted a pressing concern.  Kudos to the author for this story whose time has come.

My autobiography, entitled "Raised by Committee", takes readers on a roller coaster ride through my teen years.  At age 12, I was made a 'ward of the courts in need of moral protection', and taken into the care of the Devon County Council's Children's Committee.  I remained under their care until I turned 18.  "Raised by Committee" is a tribute to all those who take care of children like myself, who through no fault of our own, become the flotsam of our society.  Come along with me as I struggle to deal with the aftermath of childhood sexual abuse and abandonment, and my subsequent experiences growing up in a children's home in England.  The story is set in 1960's England and has been awarded the B.R.A.G. Gold Medallion Award.
